7 Bridges Mural

LJAG commissioned artist Jola Kudela to produce a mural featuring local Loughborough Junction people. She used as her template a Victorian pre-raphaelite painting Work by Ford Madox Brown. It’s an image of a road being dug up, something we are more than familiar with in Loughborough Junction. The mural was pasted to two walls at the junction. Unfortunately two days later – before the glue had had time to dry – a mini-tornado blew through the area destroying the mural. LJAG is exploring ways to mount the mural more permanently. Look and see how many characters you can identify, then log on to our facebook page where they are tagged.

The mural was posted free of charge at the junction of Coldharbour Lane and Loughborough Road for one month thanks to Primesight.

Seven Bridges Mural

The mural was used as a backdrop to one of our 7 Bridges festivals.  Here is Segen one of our volunteers looking at the image.
