LJAG organised a Big Lunch on Monday 4 June 2012 on the open space in front of the shops on Loughborough Road. We struck lucky. We reckoned that so many people would be watching the river pageant on the Thames on the Sunday that we decided to hold our Big Lunch on the Monday, and as a result we got the best of the weather, with only one small drop of rain. There was free food and music, a street dance demonstration and a local Portuguese troop demonstrated some folk dances in traditional dress.
