Ackerman Health Centre as a Community Resource: Ideas Day Monday 3 December 2018

Reimagine the future of the Ackerman Centre: Would you like to be involved

The Re-imagining Akerman project is an opportunity for local organisations and people in Lambeth to test ideas for how you would use the Akerman Centre if it was a thriving community resource.
The project is very practical with concrete outcomes. We’ll be hosting a the ‘Re-imagining Akerman Ideas Day’ on December 3rd and from that we will test 4 community-led ideas in January to show different ways the Akerman centre can support the community and make a case for longer-term funding to support the initiatives.
We recognise that many of you are already hard pressed for time so we can arrange for unpaid local people who are involved in a capacity that could be described as work to be given vouchers in recognition of their time.
To make sure the Ideas Day speaks to different groups in Lambeth we are having 45 minute coffee or calls with local organisations and community leaders over the next two weeks. The goal of these is to understand your needs as well as what you would love the support to do. These reach out sessions are not paid but could lead to an idea of yours being tested at the Akerman Centre with our support in January.
