Seeking Lambeth Older Men for 12 Week Community Drama Project

SEEKING: LAMBETH OLDER MEN FOR DRAMA PROJECT

Tony Cealy is seeking Lambeth older men for a 12 week community drama project starting on 5th March 2019.

The project will create an interactive drama performance that highlights solutions to stigma and mental health. Participants will develop skills in performing arts, research, interviewing, facilitating, devising and rehearsing. The project uses improvisation and storytelling to alleviate anxiety, depression and stress. It will also act as a catalyst to promote health and well being and strengthen skills and local knowledge.

The weekly workshops will be memorable, fun and rewarding and based at Brixton Road Youth Club 143 Brixton Road SW9 6LZ every Tuesday from March 5th 1.00pm – 4.00pm.

Commitment and sensitivity is an essential criteria.

The project brings older men together to increase their wellbeing and confidence. Together we will build new relationships and raise the profile of older men’s creative drama in Lambeth.
