For the love of Pizza and Poetry 14 February – 11am to 2pm, Garden to 3pm

PIZZA FINAL WEB a

Loughborough Farm will be celebrating the wider meaning of Valentine’s Day and sending love to the community with a special  Pizza & Poetry event on Saturday 14 February.

The farm is perhaps a more appropriate place to muse on the ancient pagan fertility festival of February 15, which honoured Faunus, the god of agriculture. But whether your love is for Faunus, the Christian Valentinus or food, it promises to be an all-inclusive event  to celebrate the love of Loughborough Farm and its community.

Some of the Loughborough farmers will be reading their home grown works while others, will bring heartfelt messages penned by other poets.  Meanwhile, the oven will be getting all fired up at the thought of all those pizzas being lovingly crafted for consumption.

The farm welcomes new volunteers on the day to help celebrate these sentiments. The event, which runs from 11am – 2pm will include the farm’s usual Saturday farm session and the farm will close at 3pm.  The last serving of pizza will be made at 2pm.

So come down to the farm and learn how to make pizzas, bring a poem or bake a Valentine’s cake and help us raise funds for the farm.

To volunteer or let us know you can bake and bring a cake contact [email protected] or call on 020 7733 1744 or 07799 621582.
