LJAG has long argued there should be a station at Loughborough Junction on the London Overground line which currently doesn’t stop between Denmark Hill and Clapham High Street. Lambeth Council has appointed consultants Steer Davis Gleeve to look at the feasibility of opening Overground stations at Loughborough Junction, Brixton East or Brixton.
LJAG is meeting the consultants on 10 February and will argue strongly for a station at Loughborough Junction. We will also ask for the east bound platform at the station to be reopened with trains to Victoria on Southeastern’s Bexleyheath, Bromley South and Maidstone East lines.
