There’s a fun week ahead with both the Loughborough Farm Open Day and the LETRA (Loughborough Estate Tenants and Residents Association) BBQ happening on Saturday (26 July) from 1pm-6pm.
The LETRA BBQ is in the gardens behind Woolley House and a plate of food will cost just £3. The Loughborough Farm will be providing some pizzas for the BBQ. Any help offered in firing up the pizza oven will be welcome!
The Loughborough Farm Open Day is an opportunity to come and visit the space – without getting your hands dirty.
There will be farm tours at 1.45, 2.45 and 4.45pm. We will show you the space, what we’re growing and explain how you can get involved if you wish. The Eden Project Big Lunch Extras group will be visiting us from 2.30-4pm.
If you do want to get your hands dirty there will be usual farm tasks to be getting on with, plus a simple seed sowing activity – a chance to sow some seeds in a pot to take home with you.
As usual our regular sessions will continue on Saturdays and Tuesdays from 1-3pm, plus another volunteer welcome session on Saturday 2 August. Also heads up, some Thursday evening sessions are due to start soon!
