Panorama, the BBC current affairs documentary television programme, is investigating the rise in the cost of living in Britain and its impact on working people. As part of the research, they would like to speak to working people who are finding it difficult to make ends meet. With huge increases in food prices, rents and energy costs over recent years, wages are struggling to keep up.
They would like to hear from single people without children or couples (with or without children) where both partners are working, ideally full time, who are receiving working tax credits. At this stage in the research, Panorama are keen to speak to as many people as possible across London, to hear their experiences and get a true picture of the current situation.
The first stage would be to have a confidential conservation over the phone, with a view to finding one person or a couple to film with. There is no obligation for you to take part in the programme once you’ve spoken to Panorama, but it would be an opportunity to help with the research and for them to tell them a bit more about the film.
