We have a busy weekend planned for the farm with lots of activities for the whole family. The farm is also open as usual on Saturday 21 November and Tuesday 24 November from 1pm to 3pm. And remember we now have shelter in the Plant Room in case of rain!
Saturday 21 November 11am to 1pm we have the Big Bug Hunt with Simon and turn your favourite find into a greetings card with Jason. Fun for all the family!
There will be free cake and refreshments but wear your wellies.
Sunday 22 November Green Roof workshop 10am – 4pm
Would you like to learn how to build your own green roof?
Come down to the Loughborough Farm where we will be building a green roof on our shipping container. Learn all you need to know about how to do it yourself through lending a hand, and be inspired to create your own living roof on your bike shed, tool shed or community space.
Some tasks will involve lifting and carrying of materials but we can accommodate most volunteers, no DIY experience is necessary! (But not suitable for small children). Refreshments will be provided but please bring a packed lunch.
This workshop is being arranged by London Wildlife Trust’s Lost Effra project, working with local people to make the area along Lambeth’s ‘ghost river’ more resilient to extreme weather and a better place to live for both people and wildlife. Saturday 28 November from 11pm to 2pm Wildcraft Workshop – Making Jewellery with Nature at The Platform, 2 Ridgway Road, SW9 7AH (opposite The Farm)
Led by local artist Joie de Winter. Go hunting for wild treasures to turn into unique jewellery and reconnect with nature. Suitable for all ages. There will be free tea and refreshments.
Saturday 5 December from 11am to 5pm there is a Christmas Market at SIA Cafe, 209a Coldharbour Lane, SW9 8RU
The Farm will have a fundraising cake stall so please get in touch if you can bake us a cake.
