We’re delighted to support the Brixton Community Clean-Up across Loughborough Junction, Central Brixton, Moorlands Estate,Angell Town and Myatt’s Field Park. This is a youth-led, community-wide initiative encouraging residents, local businesses, and organisations to take part in improving our local environment.
Taking place on Sunday 1 March 2026, 12-2pm, the clean-up aims to strengthen community pride and promote shared responsibility for the places we live, work, and socialise.
Come along to The Platform Cafe at midday for a cuppa and to pick up litter-pickers, bags and other tools.
The event is led by young people from Young People’s Movement (YPM) & RAE Academy, with support from ML Community Enterprise, Action on ASB, and Brixton BID, and supported by Loughborough Junction Action Group (LJAG) on behalf of our neighbourhood.
Volunteers will work in local teams for around 1–1.5 hours before coming together for a celebration in central Brixton to recognise everyone’s effort and reinforce positive messages about community care.
There are many ways you can get involved in Loughborough Junction – fill in this form to find out more about what’s happening locally.
