SO1: Starting Salary £29,424 pa rising in annual increments to £31,140 pa incl. LW
Our Parks and Open Spaces are a valuable resource for Lambeth’s Residents and Visitors, essential for their Health, Wellbeing and quality of life. We are proud to have 14 award winning parks in the borough and take pride in ensuring they remain a great asset for the Lambeth community and future generations to enjoy.
This is an exciting 2 year opportunity to join our team of dedicated staff as a Fundraising Officer. You will be responsible for identifying and applying for external funding to improve and develop our parks. This will involve working closely with Capital Programmes team, who deliver capital improvements in parks, as well as with Friends groups to apply for joint applications or supporting them to apply for community grants, which cannot be accessed by the council.
The successful candidate will have experience of fundraising, managing resources and basic budget management. In addition it is essential to have excellent writing and presentation skills to be successful in achieving external funding. The post holder will also need to be willing to travel around Lambeth and work flexibly, including attending out of hours meetings with stakeholder groups who are often only available outside of normal office hours.
