Two longstanding trustees are stepping back from LJAG: Hazel Watson and John Frankland.
Hazel Watson helps run LJAG’s craft workshops which are currently at the Carnegie Library Hub every Tuesday in term-time. As well as her work as a trustee of LJAG, Hazel has worked tirelessly as an activist on the Milkwood Estate and helped turn a derelict piece of land into Milkwood Park, a lovely park at the centre of the estate. She is still very active in the park friends group. LJAG is going to miss her insight and wisdom.
John Frankland has supported LJAG since its beginnings in 2007, playing a key role in the group’s formation by hosting early meetings and events at the Harry Caddick Community Centre, and he has remained a consistent ally ever since. In addition to his work with LJAG, John has a long track record of community leadership across Loughborough Junction, Herne Hill, and Camberwell Green, including co-founding and chairing the Herne Hill & Loughborough Junction Safer Neighbourhood Panel and helping to secure major investment and tenant-led management for the Thorlands Estate.
We’d like to thank them, on behalf of everyone, for their years of dedicated support for LJAG.
