We are hosting a meeting with the SE5 Forum, on Wednesday 30 April from 6.30-8.30pm at the Harry Caddick Community Centre, 63 Lilford Rd, SE5 to discuss the proposed green routes that will run through the Loughborough Junction and Camberwell area. Green routes allow people to walk and cycle safely by providing routes which link up parks and open spaces.
There is a lot of evidence that spending time outdoors and in parks increases wellbeing and we want to start a conversation about finding innovative ways to increase walking and cycling and the use of our local parks particularly the smaller parks which are often underused and neglected.
Ideas could include signage, street greening and safety improvements linked to the routes, improved cycle parking on the routes, and how cycling and pedestrian uses can be combined successfully (especially in parks). We are inviting local residents, cycling and pedestrian groups, health, parks and other community groups to participate
Refreshments will be provided.
See details of the improvements which have already been made along Cambria Road.
