Join us for a hands-on apple tree grafting workshop at Loughborough Farm! Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or a complete beginner, this practical session offers the perfect opportunity to learn traditional grafting techniques and take home your own grafted tree.
The workshop begins with an introductory talk about why we graft and the role different rootstocks play in tree growth and size. You’ll then get stuck into a practical grafting session, guided by an experienced grafter. Time permitting, we will also take a short walk to Wyck Forest Garden to see established grafts in action.
All tools and materials will be provided, and no prior experience is needed — just enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved! You’ll leave with your own grafted apple tree to plant and nurture at home.
