LJAG is recruiting a part-time bookkeeper

LJAG is a local social action charity working in Loughborough Junction in south London.  We are one of Lambeth council’s neighbourhood forums and help keep Loughborough Junction in touch with local activities through monthly meetings of the LJ Neighbourhood Forum.  We also run four main projects all of which, to a great or lesser extent, depend on grant income:  Loughborough Farm, a community food growing project with a strong volunteer base; The Platform Café, a vegetarian café with a free meals programme for those in need; Grove Adventure Playground, a playground for six to 14 year olds with some of the most adventurous structures in London; and craft workshops based at Carnegie Library.

This opportunity is for 1-day a week, working remotely; 1 year contract, initially

The job entails:

  • Working with our treasurer
  • Weekly cheque run
  • Setting and updating Xero and bank reconciliation
  • Liaising with our payroll provider

Job requirements

  • Knowledge Xero
  • Knowledge of charity fundraising streams preferable
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to travel to Loughborough Junction once a week

Rate of pay:  £25.00 an hour
