It’s been a busy week at the farm – a big thank you to the Good Gym who came on Tuesday. They helped to move granite stones for the Wild Mind Yard and the soil improver away from our entrance.
The Wish You Were Here volunteers Anthea, Charlotte and Karen held a stall at the Corner Surgery and sold all produce. Big thanks also to Emma and Zeenat who were up early with them to harvest. Thank you to Filipa and all at the Corner Surgery for their support.
On Saturday 16 May and Tuesday 19 May there will be planting out of potatoes, sowing of seeds, potting on of seedlings, weeding and more.
A big thanks to the continued group effort on the Plant Room. Work will continue on Saturday but the end is now in sight!
Emily is still looking for more volunteers to help with watering the Orchard. Can you join a group to help water on a fortnightly basis over the summer months? It is looking likely there will be one group watering on a Sunday and one on a Wednesday evening. Please email if you can help on either of these days, or an alternative time.
On Saturday 23 May at 1.30pm there will be a volunteer welcome session. If you have not attended one before this is a good opportunity to find out more about how the Farm is organised, health and safety, volunteer information and opportunities to get involved. It’s also a chance for us to get to know more about you and what you are interested in. Please book your place by emailing Emily [email protected].
On Sunday 31 May Elam Street Gardens will be having another clean up day from 11am to 3pm.
