Lambeth Council is trying out a new recycling idea in the streets around Ruskin Park and between Southwell Road and Coldharbour Lane.
Out go the old recycling bags and in come new green recycling bins. This should make it easier for everyone to recycle their rubbish – everything recyclable goes straight in the bin.
No more messy recycling bags left on the pavement for the foxes to ravage. But it will mean more bins cluttering up our streets and front gardens. Lambeth will need your views on how the scheme is working; if it is a success it will be rolled out throughout the borough, with the exception of the estates.
