Come along to the Akerman Centre on Tuesday the 29th of January from 3:30 – 6:30pm to help build the future of the Akerman Centre and the local neighbourhood. There will be a free creche and hot food.
The Akerman Centre is changing and this is your chance to have a say and get involved. We want to work with you to help make it more inclusive for the community and to help organisations work together there.
On the 29th you can hear about the initial plans and be part of adding your ideas to them to make them come alive. During the session, organisers will be working with you to help design and test four practical ideas to test out that combine the best of the local community with the skills and expertise of local services.
We will be exploring themes including food, young people, intergenerational relationships, local history and improving services.

For local people who are directly involved in running an Idea Test Day at the Akerman Centre and are not paid as part of their job, we can offer pre-arranged involvement payments. Contact [email protected] in advance of the event if this applies to you and we’ll get it sorted.
