LJAG Away Day 28th January 2024
The LJAG Away Day brought together staff, volunteers and representatives from our projects: Grove Adventure Playground, The Platform Cafe, Loughborough Farm and our Craft Workshops. We discussed the opportunities and challenges that we face in Loughborough Junction, and how we can best serve all members of our local community.
Cost of Living Programme at The Platform Cafe
The Platform Cafe are delighted to have received National Lottery funding to support people affected by the cost of living crisis this winter. They have a full programme of events plus their year-round free meals programme has been given a winter boost so that they can offer more free meals and hot drinks to those who need it.
A Lift for Loughborough Junction Station
Our campaign to get a lift installed at Loughborough Junction continues. We will be leafletting at the station on Tuesday 6 February from 4.30pm to 7pm. Please come along and help, even half an hour helps.
Dads Hub starts 31 January 2024
Unity Matter’s weekly Wednesday group for fathers and influential male carers to come together to share parenthood experiences and other stuff. Each week we will have a variety of activities and information available. Refreshments provided. Free to attend
LJAG is appointing a part-time community engagement worker/events organiser
Thriving Fiveways, which is co-ordinated by Loughborough Junction Action Group (LJAG), is looking to appoint a part-time Community Engagement Worker/Events Organiser for 2 days a week to co-ordinate our new Community Living Room Project. We are excited to launch this new programme with funding from Lambeth council’s public health team which will run for a year in the former Vassall and Coldharbour wards.
Wellbeing Festival at Wyck Gardens SW9 7AH on Friday 21 June 3-7pm
Wellbeing Festival with fun for all the family. Workshops and activities to help you stay fit and healthy with lots of tips to help you maintain your health throughout your life. There will be music and dance; free food; and a bouncy castle and face painting. The event is being organised by Thriving Vassall and Coldharbour, Ecosystem Coldharbour, and Chips. LJWorks Launch Event 14 June 2023

Goodbye to Emily
Best of luck to Lougborough Farm’s original grow leader, Emily who is moving on to life in the country after 9 years of working and growing at the Farm. She will be hugely missed and we wish her all the best.
