We run projects including the Grove Adventure Playground which we rescued from permanent closure in 2018. Our other projects include Loughborough Farm, a community food-growing project, The Platform Café, a community café, and craft workshops.

About Grove Adventure Playground

Grove in Gordon Grove has a long history going back 50 years and has some of the most adventurous climbing equipment in London.  LJAG rescued Grove Adventure Playground from permanent closure and since the summer of 2018 we have run holiday and Saturday playschemes.  Over 400 children and young people between the ages of six and 14 are registered to use the playground and our popular holiday playschemes are attended by up to 75 children a day.

The Playground Manager

The Playground Manager will provide strong leadership for the team and strategic oversight for Grove Adventure Playground.  They will work alongside the playground staff to deliver high quality, inclusive and imaginative play services and support for local children who use the playground and their families.

The Playground Manager will also maintain high quality operational and safeguarding standards; manage the budgets and finances; deliver project/funded activities and fundraising efforts; continue to build on our SEND services; support communication and social media activities at Grove and ensure local children and families are actively involved in planning and decision making across all areas of Grove’s work. They will work closely with LJAG to develop the Playground as a community hub and local resource.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the work of LJAG and to contribute to the wellbeing of people in Loughborough Junction.
